The latest episode of DNews, our award-winning student-produced monthly TV news magazine that airs on DUTV in the Philadelphia metropolitan area, on Comcast channels 54 or 62 and Verizon channel 47, will premier its latest episode on Friday, May 17 at 8PM. The show’s hosts are Chris Markowitz and Laurel Yaros. 

The episode includes a close-up look at Philadelphia’s opioid crisis, through the lens of Drexel University Photography alum, Jeffrey Stockbridge. DNews reporters also take you to the URBN Center’s Black Box Theater for She Kills Monsters, the cross-collaboration between Drexel’s Co-op Theatre Company and Entrepreneurial Game Studio. You’ll learn how the Drexel Women’s Basketball Team is making assists, both on the court and off. DNews will also take you inside two area events – one focusing on edgy artwork and the other on mythical creatures.

Stories for DNews are selected, coordinated, produced, shot, edited and presented by undergraduate students from the Department of Cinema & Television working interdisciplinary with students from across the University.
